The first-ever Garden of Eden Festival took place in Eden Mills, VT in 1996. The festival name stuck even though venue locations have changed over the years. However, this is the second Gadren held at Camp Kee-wanee in Greenfield, MA. Greenfield is centrally located and is an easy drive from anywhere in the Northeast region Of course, The Town of Greenfield also has many other attractions including a beautiful downtown district, a wide array of nature walks and a wide array of quality area merchants and restaurants.

Burlington's Strangefolk has built a strong national following based on impressive sales of their five studio releases, a rigorous touring schedule, and their annual festival, Strangefolk's Garden of Eden, that attracts thousands, which the band has funded, promoted, and hosted for the past eight years. At the heart of Strangefolk's songwriting is a seamless blend of narrative lyrical content and inventive melody. Rock, folk, blues, and bluegrass influences converge to create an instantly recognizable sound, which keeps Strangefolk's listeners moving from start to finish.

Strangers Helping Strangers:

For the sixth year in a row, Strangers Helping Strangers will be conducting a massive non-perishable food drive at Strangefolk's annual end-of-the-summer gathering - The Garden of Eden Festival.  The Garden of Eden Festival has historically been our largest annual food drive, bringing in approximately thirty-five percent of the total items we've collected since we began collecting food at concerts.  This year will mark a return focus to the actual food drive, as we attempt to break our Eden 2001 record collection of 3,000 items!  On top of that, we will be attempting to shatter the 10,000 item barrier for the year, in what has been our most successful collection year to date!  Together with one of our biggest supporters - the Wormtown Trading Company - SHS will have a very high profile at this year's festival.  We will be set up in three separate locations at the festival venue to make donating easier and quicker for all.  We will be offering HUGE prize packages to everyone who donates.  And we will be attempting to bring together a collection of other non-profit agencies to expand the experience of the festival.
